Our Mission
MDCLT's mission is to secure equitable, sustainable, and affordable housing opportunities in Mount Dennis by acquiring property from the private market and bringing it into community hands. Community voices are at the centre of our process; MDCLT works to ensure that the real, lived experiences of Mount Dennis residents are at the forefront of planning and policy change. Sufficient housing is the essential foundation for a stable life — it underlies the ability to sustain employment, access education, retain good health, and maintain overall well-being. By fighting displacement head-on, we are working to perpetually preserve and enhance community well-being in Mount Dennis.

The Board
Sean Gadon, he/him,
Board Member
Sean is the former Executive Director of the Housing Secretariat at the City of Toronto and a recognized leader in affordable housing with more than 40 years of experience advancing initiatives across municipal, provincial, and federal levels. Sean has a long personal connection with Mount Dennis, having grown up in the community and being a former board member of York Community Services
Geraldine Babcock, she/her, Co-Chair
Geraldine is the former Director of Community Outreach and Workforce Development at Humber College and she brings a strong track record of fostering community development, multi-stakeholder partnerships, and supporting at-risk communities to the Mount Dennis Community Land Trust.
Neiland Brissenden, he/him, Co-Chair
Neiland is the current Director of Communications for the Bloor Annex and Mount Dennis Business Improvement Areas; he is a community builder and communicator with a strong focus on economic development. Neiland has lived in Mount Dennis for over 10 years and is also the chair of the Save Eglinton Flats Coalition and vice chair of the Mount Dennis Community Association.
The Staff
Charlotte Pink, she/her, Coordinator
Charlotte is a second-year Master of Planning student at the University of Toronto, focused on (and very passionate about!) housing affordability, community development, arts and culture planning, and public space. On top of being the Coordinator for MDCLT, she is a Research Assistant for the Housing Precarity cluster at the New Housing Alternatives research lab. She has worked with the Mount Dennis community for around a year; before taking on a staff role, she supported the MDCLT in a volunteer capacity and has assisted with community events with the Mount Dennis BIA.
